GETTING STARTED

Share your first file in four steps.

Get an invite, install xposed, sign in once, then share. It takes a couple of minutes.

  1. Get an invite#

    xposed is invite-only while we're in early access. Request one at getxposed.link and we'll email you the app and the setup steps. Or ask a friend who already has xposed: they can invite you from their dashboard.

    An invite belongs to your email address. You'll use that same address, through GitHub or Google, when you sign in.

  2. Install#

    On Linux, one command installs xposed with your package manager:

    curl -fsSL https://getxposed.link/install.sh | sh

    It ends with something like this (your version number will differ):

    Downloading xposed 0.2.3 (xposed_0.2.3_linux_amd64.deb)
Added Files' right-click action: Scripts > Share with xposed

Installed xposed 0.2.3.
Next, sign in:  xposed login

    The Linux install page covers installing by hand, updating and uninstalling.

  3. Sign in#

    Run xposed login once on each computer. It shows a short code and opens your browser, where you sign in with GitHub or Google:

    $ xposed login
First, enter this code: WDJB-MJHT
Then visit: https://auth.getxposed.link/device
Logged in as you@example.com. Your links look like https://k3x9.getxposed.link/s/…
If xposed is running, restart it: xposed daemon stop

    If no browser opens, open the address yourself and type the code. Each computer you sign in on gets its own link address, which stays the same from then on.

  4. Share#

    In GNOME Files, right-click a file, choose Scripts, then Share with xposed. Or use the command line, which works everywhere:

    $ xposed share --pin --max-downloads 3 ~/Clients/wedding-selects.zip
Public URL: https://k3x9.getxposed.link/s/4kQ9TzA2mXc1
Expires:    in 24 hours (Mon 15:04)
PIN: 419027
Control panel: http://xposed.localhost/control/4kQ9TzA2mXc1

    Send the link (and the PIN, separately) to whoever needs the file. Your browser opens the control panel, where you can watch downloads and close the link. Keep your computer on until they've downloaded it.
