Command reference.

The xposed command talks to a background program, the daemon, over a local socket, and starts it on demand. Run it with no arguments to print the list of commands.

xposed login

Signs in with GitHub or Google and connects this computer to your account. It prints a short code and an address, and tries to open the address in your browser. Enter the code there. When you've signed in, it prints the email you signed in as and what your links will look like. Run it once per computer; running it again keeps the computer's link address. If a daemon is already running, restart it with xposed daemon stop so it picks up the sign-in. See Accounts.

xposed share [--pin] [--max-downloads N] [--expires 48h] <file...>

Shares one or more files under one link. It prints the public URL, when the link expires, the PIN if there is one, and the control panel's address, and opens the control panel in your browser. It refuses a file that is over your plan's size limit, before it creates anything.

Flag	Default	Meaning
`--pin`	off	Require a 6-digit PIN to download. It is printed once.
`--max-downloads N`	0	The most different people who may download. 0 means no limit.
`--expires DURATION`	24h	How long the link stays live, for example `48h`. It can't exceed your plan's maximum: 24 hours on Free, 7 days on Pro.

If you've used up your monthly transfer allowance, it also prints a Warning: line; the share is still created. Flags go before the file names.

xposed list#

xposed list

Lists your open shares: each one's token, files, age and download count, with its public link underneath. It prints no active shares when there are none.

xposed close#

xposed close <token>

Closes a share. Its link and QR code stop working at once, and downloads in progress are cut off. The token is the code at the start of a line of xposed list, and the last part of the link.

xposed open#

xposed open [token]

Opens your local dashboard in your browser, or, given a share's token, that share's control panel. It prints the address as well, and starts the daemon first if it isn't running.

xposed update#

xposed update [--check]

Installs the latest release, after checking its signature, with the package manager that installed xposed (or by replacing the binaries of a tarball install), then restarts the daemon; open shares keep their links. With --check it only reports whether a newer version exists. A development build tells you the latest release instead of updating.

Prints xposed and the installed version number.

xposed daemon#

xposed daemon <start|status|stop>

Subcommand	What it does
`start`	Starts the daemon if it isn't already running, then exits. The login autostart entry runs this.
`status`	Prints whether the daemon is running, its process ID and uptime, and the dashboard address.
`stop`	Stops the daemon. Open links stop working until it starts again, which the next command does.

status and stop start the daemon first if it isn't running, so they always have something to talk to.

Files and settings#

~/.config/xposed/install.json holds this computer's sign-in.
~/.local/share/xposed/ holds your shares and download history, and daemon.log.
The daemon serves the dashboard on port 80 or, failing that, 9767. Set XPOSED_PORT to choose another port.
